Quimelen Lodge

The photos say enough. It was filthy, and the facilities were subpar, even though the staff were very friendly. We were sent here by Flybondi for two nights after a flight cancellation. Nine people from two families had to share one bathroom. The bedroom window wouldn’t open, and there were so many beds that you could barely move around. Disgusting, this isn’t a hotel.

We came here after a Flybondi flight cancellation, and it was a really unpleasant stay. The shared bathroom was filthy, and the rooms were packed with dirty beds. They gave us noodles with water and not even grated cheese. It was very late, so we slept fully dressed, staring at the ceiling and hardly touching the sheets. Luckily, we paid for another hotel ourselves for the second night.

The location is the best part, and the kitchen has good equipment for cooking meals. They clean the rooms, and the breakfast is decent. Most of the staff are friendly. Just watch the price when booking: it’s quoted in dollars, so the rate can rise later. Paying quickly is the best way to lock in the price you first see.

The rooms were really comfortable, and the breakfast was delicious. The staff were very helpful, and the value for money was excellent. I loved spending a few days at Quimelen, a cozy inn right in the heart of Bariloche, with all the amenities.
