Alvear Art Hotel

The front desk staff were professional and gave us useful local recommendations, Jose in particular. The indoor pool with its retractable roof was nice, and there's a small gym. The room had a musty smell when we arrived, though we eventually got used to it. The coffee maker was nice, but they charge for the capsules, and cleaners woke us at 8:30AM asking to clean. Attention to detail could be better. It was okay, but not the same calibre as other Alvear properties. I hope they work on improving it.

The staff were kind and incredibly helpful, and the room was modern, beautiful, and luxurious, with every amenity you could want. Everything felt new and was perfectly maintained. One of my best hotel stays in Buenos Aires. Highly recommended.

The shower was wonderful, with a handheld option or a ceiling rain shower, and you could set the temperature. I also tried the Jacuzzi style tub, and it was great. Security is taken seriously: you need your room card for the elevator, and it only lets you go to your own floor. It runs so smoothly you can hardly tell it's moving. The staff were helpful, and everyone we spoke to spoke English, which mattered because my Spanish isn't up to par. There's a lot more to say, but you should discover it for yourselves when you visit.

When my husband became ill, the team went out of their way to extend our stay and arrange a doctor to consult in our room. Nikoletta was especially helpful, making sure we enjoyed breakfast each day and helping us book restaurants since we only speak English. Customer service here goes above and beyond. The rooms are very comfortable, with plenty of wardrobe space and separate bath and shower, and room service is available at night as well as in the morning. The location is very central, and we'd highly recommend the hotel.
