Anselmo Buenos Aires Curio Collection By Hilton

Right in San Telmo, this boutique Hilton property sits by a square with restaurants and shops nearby. The hotel feels very modern, with a touch of industrial style. The rooms are small but laid out efficiently, and there's a gym and a small rooftop pool with amazing views. Breakfast was great, with a good spread of pastries, fruit, and prepared dishes. I'd definitely recommend it.

We had a unique room overlooking Plaza Dorrego, and it was fun to watch people and the dancers there. The Anselmo in San Telmo gave us a lovely three-day stay in Buenos Aires. The staff were great, and we enjoyed breakfast. Laura, who ran the breakfast buffet and afternoon tea, was especially kind and helpful. After I bruised my leg on a concrete bench I hadn't seen in time, she brought me ice and checked on me each day. We also had dinner one night in the bar/restaurant, where the atmosphere was nice and the staff were kind. The open patio below the entrance was a relaxing place to sit between trips out to the great shopping nearby. The rooftop pool and lounge were another nice spot, with a great view. Highly recommended!

The hotel has a rustic look, though the building is only 10 years old. It's very quiet and comfortable, with excellent service and a modest but nice breakfast buffet. There's an indoor-outdoor patio, plus a rooftop pool and a small gym. The weight machine could use a few more attachments. It's right in the heart of Plaza, Drego and Santoma, with hundreds of activities just steps away. Overall, a really good stay.

The location is excellent for seeing the city on foot, with plenty of things to do a short walk away. The Anselmo Hotel is pretty, fairly new, and has a stylish modern look. Breakfast was good too, with enough variety to get the day started. But the rooms have poor sound insulation. We could constantly hear the bar and restaurant, where music went on until about 2:30 AM, making sleep difficult. Noise from the corridors came through, and we could even hear toilets flushing in other rooms. It's a beautiful hotel in a great area, but the noise really hurt our comfort. Light sleepers might want to choose somewhere else.
