CasaCalma Hotel

The two rooms per floor made us feel secure, and it was very quiet at night. The staff were great, easy to talk to, and helpful with good advice. We really enjoyed our stay at CasaCalma on our Buenos Aires visit three weeks ago. The hotel is centrally located, and the rooms were great, with plenty of space, comfortable king-size beds, and excellent amenities. Both rooms had their own personal jacuzzi. We had a great stay. Breakfast came with our booking and had lots of variety, including some really good sweets. The receptionists were very nice and helpful, and the minibar prices were absolutely fine. Our room was spacious, with plenty of storage, a great air conditioner, no insects, and a very comfortable bed. The hot tub was amazing, and there was plenty of hot water with great pressure. We loved the service.

We felt safe staying here, and the location made it easy to get around the center. The rooms were very clean, roomy, and quiet. The staff were terrific, especially the two young guys at the front desk. We highly recommend this wonderful hotel!

What made this an easy five-star stay was the staff. They were incredibly warm and ready to help, and whenever I asked for suggestions they went out of their way to assist. The owner was helpful too. The building itself is quaint, with a small ground-floor common space where breakfast is served. Breakfast was pretty good, though not amazing. The rooms are large for the layout, comfortable, and come with a jacuzzi, a massaging shower, a Nespresso machine, and a partly stocked minibar at inexpensive prices. There are some things that could use attention. The TVs feel a couple of generations old, the pillows weren't especially comfortable, and the air conditioning was a bit aggressive even though it worked. Our shower pressure was an issue with cooler water. The toilet is behind a glass door, so there's little sound privacy, and having only a couple of outlets was frustrating when traveling with several devices. Still, the staff made the stay satisfying, and I couldn't bring myself to rate it four stars.
