Hotel El Cabildo

The location is good, close to all the amenities, and the reception staff are really friendly and helpful. The room has what you need, but everything needs updating. I'd say it's only good for a short stay.

It's a well-known, old hotel in the city, but the doors are broken and the washrooms stink. Cleanliness and customer service are rubbish. I went there one night after 9 PM, and the lobby was completely empty, with no receptionist or other workers around. People who like going out late won't find it lively. They seem to be running the business on Hospitality & Good Kind.

The receptionists didn't speak much English, but they went out of their way to help and advise us. We felt safe in the area and had no problems. The hotel was great for what we needed, close to attractions and restaurants, and our old room was clean and had everything we needed. Our only window faced an interior wall, so we barely got any daylight and couldn't tell what the weather was like until we went outside. High winds and rain also made it really loud. We think that downside was reflected in the very low price.

I enjoyed my three days here. It's on a pedestrian street, so there was no traffic noise. The bed was very comfortable, and the shower had nice hot water with strong pressure.
