The suite had a lovely sitting room, with a great bed in the loft above. I slept really soundly. The building has a historic, aristocratic feel, with its high ceilings, doors, and windows. There's also a shared kitchen if you want morning coffee, though I preferred the nearby cafes and restaurants. San Telmo is my favorite barrio, and I feel at home as soon as I return. I've been back five times now. The hotel is half a block from Defensa y Chile, my favorite corner, with plenty of cafes and restaurants just steps away. Mercado San Telmo is a few more blocks down Defensa, and Parque Lezama is always enchanting. I love the peaceful walk along the Costanera, with even more places to eat by the water. The 20-minute walk downtown to Galerias Pacifico doesn't bother me either. I spent my last four days in Argentina at San Telmo Suites. Lucia and Mariana were so kind and helpful, and I felt royally treated. I especially enjoyed talking with Lucia. I was there on a Sunday for the feria, just around the corner. Mariana also helped arrange an Uber, which I appreciated more than she knows. I had such a lovely time and felt special. Muchas gracias, Lucia. Muchas gracias Mariana. I hope to see you again. Nos vemos de nuevo. Chau.

Mariana and Lucia were warm and helpful. After an annoying noise issue, they moved us to an upgraded room without any hassle. The suites have lots of space, a comfortable sitting area, and a big bed. Updating the bathroom would finish off the experience nicely. You're right in the heart of lively, charming San Telmo, with cafes and other places to eat nearby. The San Telmo market is just around the corner on Sundays.

The location is great, but the rooms are old. At check-in, the hotel canceled my reservation. I'd booked with points, and their negligence meant I had to overpay. My bathroom was broken for three days, and they patched it with a plastic bag. On day three they moved me to another room. The staff were somewhat helpful, but disrespectful when I asked for help with the toilet problem. See screengrabs in spanish. Future travelers, be warned.

Don't do it. They seem to be closed. They took my money, but when I arrived late at night there was nobody there. I called, messaged, and rang the bell for 15 minutes, with no answer. I was left standing in the street. Google says they have a 24-hour front desk, but that doesn't seem to be true. It's not even clear the place is open, despite taking reservations and money through Priceline and other sites. I'll post the video soon.

They took our money, but the place wasn't open. Days later, they still haven't replied or returned it. We had a bad experience. Beware.
