Hotel America

We got good value for the room. We barely interacted with the staff, but they were polite and friendly whenever we did. Our check-in was meant to be at 11:00 AM, but the room was ready when we arrived, so we got in at 9:00 AM. We had very early excursions, and although breakfast normally began at 7:00 AM, they had no problem serving us at 6:30 AM when we asked. The location is good. Highly recommended.

Such a shame it closed. It was a great option for ordinary people who travel by bus and train. The train station is impressive, like something from a movie!

The one real plus is the location, close to the bus, subway, and train stations. When I booked, some of the photos on the site didn’t match the hotel. The service was disappointing, and we saw several people arguing with staff over their rudeness. The rooms and hallways were dirty.

The place was unpleasant, with holes and ugly walls, and didn’t look anything like the photos shown for bookings. Alberto, the owner, was extremely rude and had no sense at all. If it weren’t for the staff, the hotel and its owner could go bankrupt. Here we don’t have the same rights against misleading advertising that we have in Brazil.
