Calling this a 4-star hotel is a wild exaggeration. Maybe it deserved that rating a long, long time ago. There's no mini bar in any room, with a weak excuse about a fire some time ago. The room has nothing resembling decoration. The safe needs a key to operate, and nobody explained that. The TV remote didn't work, and I was told the air conditioning can only be set to a maximum of 24 degrees or it will break. When I asked if the hotel handled currency exchange, the receptionist pulled out his own wallet. And don't get me started on breakfast. The bathtub was disgusting, with large chunks of paint peeling off the bottom. The lampshades were falling apart, and the wallpaper was peeling off the walls. One afternoon, a group of guests couldn't get in because the front door was locked. After a while the receptionist came and let us in. Apparently he'd been busy elsewhere, and nobody else was watching reception while he was gone. Imagine being at a 4-star hotel and not being able to get inside because the receptionist locked the front door. On our last day, a big fat cockroach crawled up the wall right above the breakfast buffet table. My wife and I were the only guests there at the time, and luckily she's not a screamer.

The breakfast was nice, and the concierge was polite and helpful. The room, though, was very old, the closet door seemed broken, and the towels had holes. There was only one roll of toilet paper for four people. Other places usually leave one or two extra. It was okay, just not what I'd expect from a 4-star hotel.
