The room had everything I needed, including great air conditioning, and the staff were super nice. The location is great too, so I highly recommend the hotel. Franco from the lobby is probably the nicest guy there, and there’s also the guy with glasses who’s always drinking mate 😎

The breakfast lady was lovely, and the location is great. But our room was extremely old and moldy, and the receptionist wasn’t friendly. I’m puzzled by all the glowing reviews, especially since I’ve stayed in better hotels nearby for less. I wouldn’t come back.

The breakfast lady was super nice, and the breakfast itself was simple, just toast, coffee, and fresh squeezed OJ. The location is central, but Buenos Aires public transport is easy and inexpensive, so you can get around from elsewhere too. Wilfred at the front desk, who I assume is the owner, was responsive and nice. But watch out for the 21% VAT charge. He said foreigners had to pay it, even though our reservation clearly said foreigners were exempt. He told us to seek a refund from airport Customs (Aduana), but hotels don’t qualify for VAT reimbursement. He also insisted on cash because his credit card machine supposedly wasn’t working properly, leaving us with no recourse except to try disputing it with our card company. The photos were misleading. The front, rooms, and interior looked photoshopped or taken from somewhere else. It’s a very old, dilapidated motel style place with some attempted renovation. The only photo we could confirm as accurate after staying was the one showing the bed and breakfast room, which had been renovated. The room seemed about 1920s old, with furniture falling apart. The “Kitchen” had no pots, pans, or appliances, and the patio door barely closed. Outside traffic was so loud it woke us as if we were sleeping on the street, even with the door shut and heavy duty ear plugs. The hotel sits on two very busy streets with buses passing all day and most of the night. The room cost more than the quoted rate because of the extra charge. Would you stay here for free? I wouldn’t. The booking site, which started with a B...com, didn’t help. Our confirmation said foreigners were exempt, but they sided with the hotel. I uploaded all the documents one at a time and each time they rejected my case. They never answered why they weren’t honoring the policy in the reservation, and I couldn’t speak to a manager. Never again with either of them. I’ll use a competitor next time, where I’ve had good customer service with booking and billing issues. We were shocked by how different the room looked from the listing, and then came the overcharge. ALL LIES! You’ve been warned. You can find a better hotel for this price anywhere. RUN!!!

I was close to everything, and the location was perfect. The breakfast was very tasty, the water was hot, and the staff were really nice. I recommend it.
