Milhouse Hostel Hipo

The rooms were especially clean, and the lockers felt very safe for leaving our things. Such a friendly hostel with really nice facilities. I'll definitely be back soon.

Milhouse was a great place to stay. The rooms were comfortable and clean, the staff were really friendly, and the atmosphere was fun. It's an ideal spot to meet people and enjoy the city.

I barely got any sleep. The beds were incredibly loud, and even the smallest movement made the whole frame shake and creak. The private bathroom assigned to our room was broken. Every other bathroom was labelled private too, so we had to go to a different floor to shower or use the toilet. My sheets were stained when I checked in. I contacted the hostel about all of it, but they wouldn't let me check out early, even though I was staying for eight days. They only offered to move me to another bed, which still had major problems. Wouldn't recommend it at all.

Overbooking can happen, and I can even understand that, but telling us the room wasn't available for only the last day and then cancelling our whole reservation was just weak. They left us stranded in the middle of the night in central Buenos Aires, with nowhere to stay. Warning to other travelers. We'd made the reservation just two days earlier. On the day we arrived, around 10 p.m., they cancelled it. While we were on the plane, Booking.com sent us a message saying they couldn't host us on the last day of the trip, not the entire stay. Since we were in the air, we couldn't reply or contact them sooner. When we got to the front desk around 1:00 a.m., suddenly nobody knew anything and there was no room for us. A manager called and told us someone on staff had overbooked us, but they couldn't do anything. Cheeky overbookers. Do not recommend.
