The old-house look is modernized nicely, and I loved how well the place is maintained. Inside, there was no tobacco smell or other unpleasant odor. The guests came from different countries and were all respectful. The terrace is lovely, partly open and partly covered, with new tables and chairs. In fall, the heating kept me comfortable when the first chilly days arrived. It's worth knowing there's no sign outside, just an old wooden door. Ring the bell and one of the three receptionists will come. Patricio was on the afternoon shift and told us we could use the hairdryer and straightener, both in perfect shape. They came in handy for the Dogma concert I attended. The rooms match the photos, with very comfortable mattresses, practically new clean-smelling sheets, and bathrooms in great condition. The showers had hot water and strong pressure. The kitchen has a microwave, fridge, cutlery, and dishes, and there's a TV for movies on the sofas. There was a small misunderstanding about the shower, but they replaced it as soon as they noticed. I was going to give four stars, but they'll sort out discomforts or problems if you tell them, and everyone was willing to help. So, five stars from me. I'd choose this place again.

The rooms are cozy, and it felt reassuring to know our things were in good hands. The service was attentive, especially Facundo, who was very helpful. The terrace has a lot of potential, and it was a good place to unwind and relax.

The building is beautiful and the location has a lot going for it, but the service felt neglected. The reception staff tried to help, yet couldn't fix the biggest issue: there was no water at all, so we had to take cold showers. The air conditioning worked, though its fan didn't, and there weren't any outlets by the bed. The windows were broken and the Wi-Fi never connected. The terrace could be lovely, but it had no lights at night and the plants were withered. Such a shame given the building's potential.

Cockroaches were everywhere. When I went to the bathroom, they came out and crawled up the toilet. The staff brushed it off, saying there weren't that many. They moved me to another room, but it was just as bad. They wouldn't refund me or even apologize. The worst place I've ever stayed.

The room was tiny, windowless, and full of cockroaches. The air conditioning was broken, the ceiling fan kept coming loose, and the bathroom never dried out. There were spiders all over the ceilings and a strong cat-urine smell in the hallways. Worst place I've ever stayed. Don't let the five-star reviews fool you.
