I got in late, around 11 pm, and my room on the first floor was freezing. Street traffic made it noisy, too. The shower didn't work, so I had to wait until the next morning for someone to fix it.

The building has an old-fashioned feel, with a winding staircase and an elevator that seems from another era. There are four floors, but the lift only reaches the third, so you have to take the stairs to the fourth. I expected a bad room from the other reviews, but mine was quite nice. The location is hard to beat, and staying there felt like stepping into a mid-20th-century hotel. I spent one night and enjoyed it. I'm not sure why so many reviews are negative. That location comes with plenty of noise in the room, including traffic outside and a noisy parking garage nearby. There's no free breakfast, despite it being advertised, which really annoyed me. The bed was awful too, just a thin single mattress sagging in the middle. I'd recommend it if you're a deep sleeper or bring earplugs.
