BENS - Recoleta Park

We left the day after arriving, returned the keys, and told the staff clearly that we couldn't stay. Even so, the hotel kept the full payment for all six nights after we had spent just one night there. We got no full or partial refund, and our efforts to sort it out were ignored. The room had a strong, unpleasant smell as soon as we walked in. It looked run-down and poorly cared for, and the beds sagged so much that we couldn't rest properly. The hotel's condition felt neglected and far below what I'd expect from a 4-star place. Bens Hotel Recoleta Park in Buenos Aires is advertised as 4-star, but the actual stay was completely different. It felt misleading and unfair, and I wouldn't recommend it to anyone expecting basic comfort, cleanliness, or honest business practices.

The staff were great and the location was great too. The rooms felt a bit dated, but worked perfectly for a short stay in BA. At that price, I'd recommend it to travelers.

It's an okay place to stay, but I've found better quality for about the same price elsewhere in Buenos Aires. The hotel's online pictures looked great, but in person it was worn out, which was disappointing. The rooms are a decent size, and it's in a walkable area close to the sights. There are several steps into the lobby, so it would help if staff offered to carry luggage. The kitchen was missing basic items, so it wasn't usable. Breakfast was sparse and lower quality than at other places I've stayed in the city.

The area was perfect, close to the French Embassy, and lovely for walking around the neighborhood. A kind young man let us into our room early and offered help, which we took when we needed some kitchen items. Breakfast was great, with all sorts of cold cuts, cheese, eggs, and fruit. Thanks for making our stay feel nice and safe.
