Aguas Claras

The view of Mount Uritorco from the dome is breathtaking, and the facilities were impeccable. We had excellent service in a dreamlike setting. If you enjoy travel and want a unique experience, Aguas Claras (Domes) is a place we highly recommend.

The view is the only good part. The owner was rude, communicated terribly, and provided awful service. He came across as arrogant, too. I'd suggest renting a tent at a campground instead. That would be much better than staying here.

It's peaceful and feels safe, and the cabins are comfortable for couples or families. There's a grill, a pool, and space to enjoy yourself. Everything is close to the town center, in a beautiful setting.

The welcome breakfast was good and lasted us several days, though for the price they charge, it could be better. We stayed in cabin 4, and ants were everywhere during our stay: on the counter, in the bathroom, cupboard, and even in the bed. Because of that, we had to put all our food in the refrigerator, including things that normally wouldn't need chilling. The little fridge froze things, and we couldn't adjust it because its dial was broken. Before eating, we'd have to leave food out to warm up and keep an eye on it so the ants wouldn't get to it. Such a hassle. One of the owners had told us the cabin would be ready early so we wouldn't have to wait, which we appreciated. But when we arrived and tried to cook, the utensils were dirty and there weren't enough. The cabin isn't close to the markets, and the nearest one is about seven blocks away, so fetching basics like paper towels, garbage bags, and toilet paper was tiring. Those are things you don't think to pack for a cabin because they should be supplied. The TV was another nuisance. On cloudy days we wanted to watch a movie indoors, but it was almost impossible. It's tiny, not a smart TV, and only has DirecTV; the signal cuts out randomly, and there are lots of commercials you can't skip.
