The setting is beautiful, and there’s something special about falling asleep under the stars or showering with a mountain view. Staff were friendly, though the restaurant menu felt limited, possibly because it was a quiet period with few guests. Some parts of the resort looked worn and could use maintenance. Wi-Fi worked poorly in the rooms, but was okay around reception and the restaurant.

The bed was comfortable and the location is lovely, but I didn’t feel the price matched what we got. The jacuzzi is coming apart, the pool was dirty, and the TV takes about 20 seconds to pause a movie. The internet was too slow for streaming anyway, under 1 MB/s when I checked. Those are just a few examples.

What an amazing place.

We booked the Ground Floor Suite for Carnival weekend hoping for a relaxing stay, but left with a really bad impression. The place is advertised as high-end, yet seemed badly neglected. The garage entrance for our suite was a steep, poorly kept drive with deep potholes. One wheel of our VW Taos ended up hanging off the ground, and we had to back up to get traction. Inside, there were damp patches, torn curtains, and wires hanging from the lights. When it rained, water came through the wall. The shower railings had loose screws, and the jacuzzi’s wooden base was swollen beside an electrical outlet, which felt hazardous. We found cobwebs and stains on the bedspreads and our baby’s crib sheets, and the outdoor pool had bugs in it. On our last night, a terrible sewage smell from the jacuzzi spread through the suite. We didn’t raise that final problem because of the poor treatment we’d already experienced. The manager’s response was the worst part. When we made what we felt were legitimate complaints, she got defensive and threatened to throw us out, even though the area was packed for Cosquín Rock and we had a small child with us. It felt completely lacking in compassion. She offered a 10% refund, which we turned down because it was a joke given everything that had gone wrong. Don’t trust the photos. It’s expensive, has serious problems with the building, and management showed no respect for us as customers. I do not recommend it.
