Susana Balbo Winemaker's House - Relais & Chateaux

The food and wine were incredible, and they handled my vegetarian diet so thoughtfully even though I was dining with meat eaters. They met our dietary needs without compromising the quality of the food. Marcella and Fransisco were wonderful. Marcella was such a caring, kind and helpful waitress, and went out of her way to explain everything to us in English. The setting, wine pairings, non-alcoholic options, and attention to detail were all immaculate. I'd highly recommend it!

We had only two nights at Susana Balbo because they were fully booked for longer, which was a shame since we wanted to stay on. The whole visit felt effortless, thanks to Jonathan arranging both the Susana Balbo winery tour and tasting, about an hour away, on our arrival day, and the Hidden Gems tour the next day. We had a great time on both outings and didn't need to lift a finger. The inn is peaceful and beautiful, with comfortable, well appointed rooms and shared spaces. Our room felt like heaven, with a huge soaking tub, a fantastic sauna shower, a private courtyard, and a big comfortable bed. We had a delicious lunch on arrival, and they easily handled our dietary restrictions. Francisco served us at lunch and at breakfast on both days, and we really enjoyed his service. Cecelia served us one evening in the bar and also led a wine tasting for us one afternoon. Federico and Ivana made sure everything was right throughout our stay. Federico greeted us warmly when we arrived early, and sent us off with snacks and water. The welcome massage was amazing too, though I can't remember the therapist's name. I can't recommend staying here enough. We had such a lovely time.

We didn't stay overnight, but came for afternoon tea and had an incredible, almost magical time. Ivana was a wonderful hostess, and the outdoor areas are so thoughtfully put together. The food was really good too. I'll definitely come back. 10/10 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

We stayed elsewhere in the area, but Susanna Balbo felt like heaven on earth when we came for dinner once and aperitivo twice. It's clean and well maintained, with a lovely garden, attentive service, and high quality food and drinks. It was the first place on our Argentina trip that really met a luxury standard. Sadly, we didn't know that before we booked our other stays. If we return to Argentina, I'll stay at Susanna Balbo.
