Hotel Queguay

The food is the main thing I’d like to see improved, though I really appreciated having vegetarian choices. Drinks are very reasonably priced, as are the mate trays offered as a snack. The hotel is in a great spot near the hot springs and river, with a lovely garden and a pool that’s a good size for the patio. Rooms have air conditioning and cable TV. What stood out most was the friendly staff and excellent service. It’s an affordable, welcoming place to stay while visiting beautiful Colón. Thank you!

The room was clean, the hotel was simple, and the staff were friendly. The food, though, was awful, all flour and no flavor. Don’t expect meat in anything, whether it’s vegetable empanadas, mozzarella pizza, or noodles with tomato sauce. Breakfast was horrible too. The croissants had no dough, just egg brushed on them, and there wasn’t even a little butter. The toast was harder than a rock. The only thing I could manage was a piece of bacon. Shameful.

They make you leave the room at 8:00 AM even though the bus doesn’t arrive until 11:30, leaving you stuck there for over three hours with 50 other people. The two bathrooms by reception smell so bad that after 20 minutes you can’t even walk five meters away. And once they’ve unloaded your bags, they start giving you orders and making you feel like a nuisance. I didn’t like it! The neglect is obvious as soon as you arrive: stains, peeling walls, and fallen plaster on the facade. It’s a mess with no paint, nothing like the photos. The rooms and outdoor areas are extremely unclean. Towels aren’t replaced unless you ask, even though the sign says every three days and our package was for three nights. The food is plain, bland, and repetitive. Breakfast is appalling, with no care put into it, just enough to get through the meal. Half the guests didn’t eat it, and neither did they eat dinner. We’d rather have paid the difference for decent service. A real disaster. We’re on our way back from there!

The meals are simple, tasty, and excellent. They also kindly prepared requested dishes for guests with special diets. Pedraza can be impatient with some guests who leave negative reviews, but this is a simple hotel close to everything, and it’s a place worth visiting. There’s hot water for mate 🧉 available all day for $500, plus tasty snacks to go with it. The rooms are nice and spotless, with air conditioning and a smart TV. Bathrooms work fine, though the shower stall is a bit small. Our sheets and towels were changed daily, and the service staff did a thorough, professional, and highly commendable job. Outside, there’s a lovely park and a small, immaculate pool enjoyed by adults and children. Lounge chairs and chairs are shared, so it depends on guests showing respect. The park is cleaned every morning, including the cigarette butts guests leave all over. It’s a simple hotel that has everything you need.
