Mediterranea Hostel Cordoba

I was only there for one night, but the cozy feel and affordable price suited me well. The staff were lovely and really helpful, and the atmosphere was great. They offer massages at very good prices, and food and breakfast are available throughout the day. Right by the bus terminals, so an easy choice for backpackers.

The hotel was clean, the coffee and breakfast were good, and it's close to the bus terminal. But our valuables didn't feel safe there. We left our backpacks in the luggage room by reception for a few hours on departure day. When we returned, one had been opened and some valuables, including shoes, were missing. There was a camera pointed straight at the room, yet reception wouldn't review the footage, which seemed very odd. The room can't be locked, and we saw the front door left open several times, despite the 24-hour reception and video surveillance.

We were upgraded from a standard room to a lovely suite after a small issue with our booking. It was roomy and comfortable, with a mini-fridge, electric kettle, TV, safe, armchairs, two ceiling fans, and air conditioning. Galo was excellent and very kind, as was the young man who saw us off at 5:00 a.m. The bus terminal is just one block away, which made our transfer really convenient. Patio Olmos shopping center is eight blocks away, and the avenue is an easy walk from a block down the street. We'd definitely come back.

A pleasant place to unwind is the rooftop terrace, and breakfast was generous and satisfying. The rooms were clean and cozy, and the staff were friendly and easy to reach. Hostel & Spa Mediterránea is only steps from the bus terminal, which is very handy for travelers.
