After spending the day on the road, I wanted a comfortable hotel with a restaurant, but I checked out after 15 minutes and they wouldn’t refund me. The place felt abandoned, with no sign of other guests and the restaurant closed indefinitely. The bathroom had a strange hospital-room look, and the shower sprayed water across the floor. It’s marketed as a “nice” hotel, but this was one of the most bizarre stays I’ve had, especially for the price they’re asking. I stayed at the Holiday inn instead, for the same price and much better quality. Do yourself a favor and avoid this place.

The bed and my pillow were comfortable, and there were USB ports on both sides of the bed, plenty of electrical outlets, and lots of lights. The headboard looked attractive but wasn’t very comfortable to lean against. The main and first floors were nicely decorated, though I didn’t get to see the upstairs areas. The lobby was well appointed, with the eatery right next to it. The food was great, but it took some figuring out to get the menu and work out which menu applied at what time. All the employees were polite, and the service was excellent. Room service was surprisingly affordable compared with North American hotels. We were only there one night, but it was a lovely little find. I hope to stay again! :)

We had the steak with fries, and it was fantastic. The food service is a bit niche, but the breakfast selection was very good too, and the bar had some interesting choices. The staff were welcoming and really nice. The room was the main reason I picked this hotel while commuting: it was lovely, full of natural light, with an open view and no tall buildings blocking it. We chose the standard option with a king bed because the premium room’s extras didn’t seem worth it. They say the premium option includes popcorn for a Netflix movie, though you have to use your own account. The location wasn’t ideal, but I had a car and didn’t mind. It’s an expensive hotel, and food or drinks cost enough to make you think twice. Eating there came to at least 50% more than at a restaurant, plus there was an extra charge for room delivery. I was pleased with the stay and don’t particularly regret it, but it won’t stick in my mind as a particularly good hotel to visit.

We stopped by for tea time. The place has a relaxed, laid-back feel, and the coffee was pretty good. The menu is limited but interesting, and prices are reasonable. There’s an outdoor area that seems great for summer evenings and barbecue dishes.

Breakfast was great, with lots of options. But the room and corridors weren’t clean, and there was always a bad smell. Although the place is new, many amenities are broken.
