Posada Shalimar

The staff and owners made us feel right at home, and the attentive service really stands out. The inn is in a great spot with a lovely view and everything needed for a pleasant stay. There’s a pool, grills, a dining room for breakfast, lunch, afternoon tea, or dinner, and a wooded park for natural shade. It’s right on the river, with a private access ramp. The river is about 80 meters below, so going down and back up is a bit of an adventure. That could be challenging if you’re traveling with children or seniors. Breakfast is very complete, and they tried to accommodate us when we asked for scrambled eggs with tomato and avocado, pieces of fruit, and mate. José, Claudia, Maxi, Luli, Lionela, the gardener, and the rest of the team all made us feel well cared for. Thank you. If you want a relaxing stay where everything is taken care of, this inn is an excellent choice.

The place is beautifully decorated and set up for relaxing with family or friends. Our room was spotless, the pool and river were lovely, and both breakfast and dinner were delicious. Julia was wonderful, so friendly and helpful. There’s nothing I’d change. I highly recommend it and will be back!

Jose and Claudia made us feel so welcome, thank you both for your warmth and friendliness. The rooms have incredible views, and it’s a beautiful spot to unwind among the mountains and nature. There’s direct access to the river, a lovely pool, and a bar for drinks by the pool. The restaurant has very good prices. The owners run the place themselves.

The cleanliness was spectacular, and the restaurant serves very good food. The inn is lovely, with a room looking out over the mountains and pool. Breakfast was excellent and generous, with fruit, cold cuts, and delicious cakes. Thanks to Jose, Claudia, and her husband for their hospitality. It’s a beautiful place in Icho Cruz, highly recommended. We’ll definitely be back!
