The breakfast buffet was the one small bright spot. We had booked two nights but left after the first. Our upstairs room had a lovely lake view, but road traffic made it very noisy. The windows had only simple wooden frames and no insulation, so even the cool air outside seemed to pass right through the room. We nearly got sick, and after a long trip we still couldn't get to sleep.

The payment was a nightmare: they charged our credit card, then canceled the reservation and kept the taxes. Noise from other rooms was easy to hear, and the heat didn't work for most of the night, which matters a lot in this part of the world. If you get the chance to stay here, please don't take it.

The setting is magnificent, right on the shore of the Neuquen River with a splendid view. cerro otto's funicular is only a few blocks away, a really extraordinary outing.
