After our three days of trekking, we returned and were told we couldn’t shower or wait at the hostel for two hours until our bus, since we weren’t paying for another night. It was the first time that had happened to us. They sent us out into the rain, still dirty. That was especially unpleasant after we’d paid to store our luggage for the trek. We’d slept there for one night before leaving, and had been surprised that they charged for each piece of luggage, even small bags separately, but we accepted it.

The breakfast had almost nothing, and staff wouldn’t provide basics like toilet paper. The owner watched our every move like a policeman, and the moment we made a tiny noise, he’d show up angry. We were thrown out of the hostel for no good reason and left on the street. Not recommended.

There was a lot of noise and mess, and we had no hot water. The breakfast was bad, the sheets were poor, and the owners weren’t nice.

The beds are small and don’t have curtains, though that didn’t bother me. There are lockers in the room and enough bathrooms downstairs. I stayed five nights at 20,000 COP per night, cash only. The garden is beautiful, with a pool and lots of space to relax, and the staff are very friendly. Breakfast is included, though it’s simple, just coffee or tea and toast. Given the hostel’s quality, location, pool, and staff, I’d absolutely recommend staying here!

It’s not as quiet as it used to be, and I agree about the employee Ezequiel. They have strict times for lunch and breakfast, so they should also set rules for rest hours. If people can’t sleep at night, it’s hard to keep to the breakfast schedule. Guests who come to rest deserve the same respect. Respect goes both ways, and we all have a part in it.
