Cumbres Hotel

El Bolson's nicest hotel, in my opinion. Simple and very nice, though pretty expensive.

The location is right in the middle of El Bolson, and the service is really nice. They do need to improve some room details.

The hotel has plenty of space and a lovely view. Breakfast is a full spread of croissants, cakes, toast, fruit, yogurt, and more, served politely by staff rather than set out for self-service. The other services were fine, but the beds weren't very comfortable and there was just one not particularly soft pillow. We got back from a long walk at 9:00 PM hoping to shower, only to find the room had no power. The phone was electric too, so I went to reception. They reluctantly said the electricity was out, then told me this happened all the time and usually didn't last long. An employee explained the outages affected different zones. Power came back after 40 minutes, then went out again at 12:30 AM. We nearly got stuck in the elevator. With just two floors, the stairs are an option, but guests should be told about the outages so they aren't alarmed.

We were very satisfied with our stay. The staff looked after us excellently, even though we arrived without warning and they had to arrange a room for us. Our room was spotless and tidy, with a minibar and safe, and the bathroom was always clean and very nice. Breakfast had plenty of options. There is both a covered garage and a large open-air parking lot.
