We left because room #7 was smelly, not very clean, and half below ground. It felt more like a storage room than somewhere worth $200 USD. Maybe there are nicer rooms, but I’d avoid this place. Getting our refund was a hassle because the business seems to have disconnected from Expedia. Expedia had to call the property, but the property wouldn’t give them its phone number, for reasons. Las Marias in Tilcara is much better and costs less.

We found it a handy stop on the way back from Salinas Grandes to Salta. The rooms are good, the people welcoming, and breakfast is decent. It’s also well placed for visiting the main sights, with a laundry close by if you need one.

The roof is a nice spot to sit and take in the surrounding mountains, and there’s a small pool too. A short five-minute walk gets you to the top of a little hill with good views of the colorful hills for photos. The rooms are clean and roomy, breakfast has a nice range of options, though the coffee could be better. Wifi is good.

The location works well, just outside the busiest part of town. Staff were really friendly, and the rooms were comfortable and well kept. Breakfast was good and the wifi excellent. One small annoyance: after turning on the shower, hot water can take a while to come through.

We had a nice room with a great view, but there was no hot water on our last night. Breakfast was disappointing, some eggs or other non-carb choices would have helped. The staff are friendly, though they don’t seem to speak much English.
