Breakfast was awful, with one girl trying to cover breakfast, reception, and the “spa.” There was no water for coffee, and no bread, napkins, or spoons. The tables were all dirty; when we complained, she said she couldn’t manage everything herself. Service in general was poor, with too few staff to handle the guests and amenities. We also tried to have an asado, but the outdoor lights didn’t work. No one came to fix them after we asked, and we had to find our own wood even though they say they provide it. The Wi-Fi was bad, though that seems common in the area. We expected much more. Our lodge looked nothing like the photos and seemed unmaintained for a couple of years. The kitchen supplies didn’t match the pictures either, there was no microwave, and the furniture was torn and dirty. Our terrace was broken and had cheap patio furniture.

Inan at reception was the one bright spot. He was really kind and tried to sort out all the problems, thank you, Inan. Cristal’s guest service was horrible, and she treated her colleagues badly in front of everyone. We paid for a pool treatment that didn’t work, and the areas were dirty.

The pool and sauna cost extra, and you only learn that when you arrive. You also have to reserve them, which is terrible. The place may have felt elegant when it first opened, but it hasn’t kept that up. These days it’s far from a boutique hotel, and the luxury feels fake. Finding the receptionist was often like looking for Waldo.
