Rincón del Sur

We only stayed a night, but it was a really comfortable stop. The little apartment had a lovely bathroom and a kitchen stocked with all the utensils we could need, plus a fridge, stove, oven, and microwave. From the balcony there was a mountain view, and the grassy garden was a nice place to unwind. The owners kindly kept one of our bags while we hiked in the mountains for a few days. Their alfajores are delicious, too. Great value, and I’d gladly stay again.

The wifi didn’t work, and the cabins felt damp and dark. The bathroom was incredibly small, and even though it was supposedly clean, the place looked dirty. When we were leaving, there was a really uncomfortable situation. The host didn’t speak English, so we had to translate for some German tourists that they weren’t going to be given towels. She didn’t offer them towels even if they paid. It was a grandmother, a mother, and a child. Super weird. I wouldn’t recommend staying here. If you can afford to pay a little more, do that.

The hostess was really nice, although she didn’t speak English. The place is quiet and has a full kitchen and balconies, though it’s pretty sparse and the walls between rooms are thin. It doesn’t seem like the sort of place that would draw a rowdy crowd. Beer and breakfast are available for small extra charges. It’s a bit outside the small town center, so getting around on foot wasn’t very convenient. There was a supermarket and a brewery nearby.

The mountain view is beautiful and it’s a nice place, but space is a bit tight. It needs more cleaning, and the bathroom is much too small for an average adult.
