We ate at the restaurant every night and really enjoyed it. The view was hard to get enough of, and the horses were lovely and clearly cared for by two wonderful gauchos. Margarita deserves a special thank you for the best ride. galpon del glaciar is a cosy, intimate place that felt like home, even though it’s a little way from the city. A memorable hidden gem if you’re visiting El Calafate and want to see the Glaciers.

We really enjoyed our stay. It’s a small, quiet hotel surrounded by wonderful nature, and a lovely place to relax. They were a big help when we had problems with the bike.

Learning about the sheep and everyday life at the estancia during the afternoon in the countryside was such a special, authentic experience. We also loved the cosy rooms and charming facilities, and could even spot condors flying close by. The staff were kind and attentive throughout, and the views were stunning. Agustina and Marcos made us feel completely at home and spoiled us in the best way. It was hard to leave this magical place, but we’ll definitely be back.

Margarita was our horseback riding guide and Angie led our dia del campo tour, and both made the experience special. The staff were so friendly that we felt right at home. This should be part of a Patagonia trip. We’ll book this place first when we come back.

I looked into a lot of beginner horseback riding tours, and this one was easily my favorite. The views and organization were fantastic, and Margherita, who led the tour, was unbelievable. The whole ride turned into a memory I won’t forget. It’s worth the trip out of the way, so give it a try.
