El Puente Aparts

***DO NOT STAY HERE! This isn’t really a hotel, it’s an Airbnb. After our stay, we were blamed for damage caused by earlier guests. We booked through Airbnb and, despite some drawbacks, left a positive review because Paola had been kind while we were there. Her attitude changed as soon as the stay ended, so I’m sharing the problems we had. There may be a dog in the backyard that chews at the fence and tries to jump over it. It barks nonstop until you’re out of sight. We also saw bugs, including spiders, large beetles, and earwigs. The kitchen hot plate doesn’t get hot enough to cook on, so although there is a kitchen, it isn’t practical for making meals. We reported a broken sink honestly because the host had seemed friendly and communicative. She then accused us of breaking other things we had nothing to do with and left us a bad Airbnb review. If you notice existing damage, don’t report it, or she may blame you. I’ve used Airbnb for 11 years and have received several reviews as an exemplary guest. This was the first time I ever got a bad review after a stay. I regret staying here.

Paola was a helpful, really nice owner, and we liked the apartment. We were a bit disappointed that card payment wasn’t an option and that using PayPal came with a commission.

The apartment was comfortable and nice, with the basics and comfortable beds, though the kitchen needs more equipment and there really should be more power outlets. It’s at the start of town, on the main street, and the location is okay. The owner lives in the little house in front of the apartment.

The cabins are in a great location, and the owner was very friendly and helpful. The shower was good and the wifi stayed steady. Breakfast was basic, though that seems common in the area.
