That three-course lunch was a highlight: generous portions, really good food, and wine, served at individual tables instead of as a buffet. We picked the Glacier Upsala viewpoint option, with a 4x4 ride up the mountain and a short hike at the top. The views were incredible, and it’s a must-see around El Calafate. We’d hesitated because it’s a full-day tour and we usually like exploring on our own. I’m so glad we went, though. It became the best day of our whole month in Argentina. Everything felt magical, from the breathtaking scenery to the beautiful, spotless boat. Every staff member we met was friendly, well organised, and clearly loved what they do. If you’re unsure like we were, I’d say go. It’s worth it.

The boat trip to Estancia was a lovely start. We passed a huge iceberg, and the captain stopped so we could look and take photos. Tea, coffee, water, and croissants were available on board. Once we got going on the horse ride, I loved that the route back was different from the way out. The scenery was a real surprise, and the horses are very well cared for. It’s walking pace the whole way, so it should suit riders of any level. They provide hats and chaps. At the halfway stop, there’s a gorgeous little cabin by the lake. Our guide made steak sandwiches, a cheese board, and dessert, with plenty of drinks to choose from, including wine, beer, and soft drinks. It was all so tasty. We had time to eat, relax by the lake or river, and enjoy the beautiful spot before riding back. If you fancy a dip in the lake, bring a towel and swim shorts. Thanks for a great day!

I loved every minute of my stay. I’ve never stayed anywhere better. The service was exceptional, the people were wonderful, and the whole experience was amazing. If you’re hoping to see the glaciers, go hiking and horse riding, and feel completely looked after, this is the place for you.

I could really decompress here and feel connected to nature and myself. The small footprint and limited number of people make it feel peaceful. There are great hiking options, horseback riding, and excellent food, and the view from the rooms was amazing. It’s a magical place, hard to put into words.
