Mirador del Lago Hotel

Luciana at the front desk was exceptionally kind and helpful, and the management later apologized for what happened. We appreciated both. The hotel itself has a beautiful setting, and the front desk was friendly, but our experience at breakfast left us uncomfortable. On the morning of our Glacier tour, we were told the tour agent would be back in 10 minutes, so we hurried to the restaurant and took just four small alfajores to eat on the bus. Two waitresses stopped us abruptly and raised their voices in front of other guests. It was embarrassing and disappointing, especially over such a small snack. We understand there are rules, but this could have been handled more kindly. The harsh approach affected the start of our tour. Luciana really showed the kind of hospitality we wish we’d received in that moment. The rest of the hotel is lovely, and we hope this feedback helps the breakfast staff handle guest interactions better.

Breakfast was fantastic, with lots of variety and good quality, and the staff were welcoming and very helpful whenever we needed something. The location also made it easy to explore El Calafate. We had a wonderful stay at Mirador del Lago Hotel and would definitely choose it again.

The staff were friendly, bilingual, and accommodating, and the breakfast spread was excellent. Our rooms and bathrooms were spotless and well equipped. There’s a small uncovered parking lot at the back, but the hotel isn’t pet friendly.

The rooms are comfortable and nice, and the staff are friendly, helpful, and speak English. There are plenty of restaurants within walking distance. Excellent hotel, recommended.
