Ian was warm and friendly, and his recommendations for places to eat and drink in town were great. The two little cats wandering around were a highlight, too. The place has beautiful real wood floors throughout, and our bed was comfortable; the bathroom was clean. We also loved the lake view from the dining room. Breakfast was simple but so good. The home-baked bread was especially memorable, my girlfriend still talked about it every day after we left, and they made eggs fresh to order. We found the stay less expensive than other places in the city, so it felt like very good value and had a homey feel. One thing to know: they ask for cash. They gave us plenty of notice and accepted USD, ARD, and euros.

The lake-view room was lovely, very clean, and had a big comfortable bed. Breakfast was a real highlight for me: eggs, toast, fruit, coffee, delicious cakes, and plenty of variety. Our travel plans got disrupted by wind and road closures, and Ian and Tatiana were incredibly gracious about helping us. They called around so we could change bookings and find the information we needed. Both of them are down to earth, kind, and easy to talk with. I'd happily recommend staying here 😊

The views of Lago Argentino are lovely, and you can walk into town from here. It's a simple place and very good value, which suited us perfectly. Ian is a helpful, lovely host, speaks English very well, and is always ready to help. His wife and the cats are lovely too. Some fancier places could learn a lot from this place about value and customer service.

The people were nice, and both the bedroom and shared space were clean and comfortable. Breakfast was fantastic, especially the homemade seeded brown bread, which you really should try. This was my favorite place to stay in Patagonia.
