Howard Johnson by Wyndham Ezeiza Convention Center

The room is really clean and comfortable, and I’m so happy here. We left another place at the crack of dawn last night to escape because it was awful, and the Howard Johnson welcomed us with such kindness and help. Thank you. I understand why some people complain about the scary road in, but that’s where it ends for me. Their customer service is top notch, and I can’t fault it. Breakfast isn’t like Europe or the States, but by the standards of traveling here in Argentina it’s very good and well stocked. We’ve been traveling for 3 weeks.

The bathroom and room were disgusting, with filth in every corner. The shower floor felt slimy, the toilet looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in ages, and there was no coffee or even a blow dryer. A towel sat in the hallway all night without being picked up. I opened a door thinking it was stairs and found hidden dirty dishes, still there 10 hours later. We could easily hear our neighbours, who woke us in the morning. Not a single Uber would pick us up because the road was so awful. We took a taxi and thought we were going to die on the sketchy dirt road, then got charged 6x what a normal drive would have cost. We couldn’t wait to pay an exorbitant amount for a driver who would actually get us out of there.

You stay here because it’s close to EZE and you have a morning flight, that’s it. Please provide soap in the bathroom, enough towels for the number of booked guests, and maybe clean the shower head.

The beds were clean and had fresh, crisp linens. That was about the only positive. The staff seemed very nice, but 2 stars is already generous for such a disgusting experience. The food was mediocre at best, and the whole hotel needs a thorough cleaning, especially the corners where dust, dirt, and hairs have built up. The access road is gravel and full of potholes. We thought the taxi driver was going to shoot us and steal our stuff. The gym was nicely appointed for a morning workout, but the equipment was sticky with other people’s sweat, and there was no AC or ventilation, so it was hot. The indoor pool was green and nasty, like they were raising fish in it. Maid carts had 2-3 cans of bug spray, which seemed to be used liberally because flies were everywhere. I saw dining room servers spraying it like air freshener. That’s not healthy at all! Room entry uses a keycard with the room number written on it, which doesn’t seem secure if someone finds a lost card and uses it to get in and steal things. The lack of replies to any of these reviews is also very telling. I’d strongly suggest reading reviews before booking.
