Hotel Los Robles

The place itself was clean and tidy, with a lovely patio and plants, though the decor details were lacking. That didn’t affect our vacation, since we went to enjoy the experiences. But everything else was wrong, and I wouldn’t return. I was traveling with a tour company, and we never got towels or shampoo. Breakfast was included in the half-board package, but all we received was one croissant each, two pieces of toast, butter and jam. The coffee barely filled the small cup. I asked for sweetener, but it never came, and when I asked for more coffee, they refused. At lunch, the ravioli with tomato sauce was spread thinly to make it look like a larger serving. The only waiter was serving around 40 people, and his hands smelled of feces. Several of us noticed. We didn’t pay a low price. Our room had four single beds; when we complained, they brushed us off as if we were a nuisance and wouldn’t move us, saying, “We don’t have any.” It had been booked at least 20 days ahead. Whether you’re on a tour or traveling independently, the service and attention shouldn’t be like this.

The staff were friendly and breakfast was okay, but I paid for two nights and left after one because I couldn’t stand staying there. The room was like a dark closet with no ventilation, and they charged a fortune without providing the service I’d paid for. Next time, I’d honestly rather camp than come back.

For 500,000 pesos for three nights, this hotel was awful and the service was terrible. The room was bad, and the bathroom light switch was inside the shower, which scared me every time I showered. You had to beg them to turn on the air conditioning. It blew directly and had no temperature control. Breakfast was rubbish too, just two croissants per person and really stale toast. I honestly forgot to read the reviews before booking, or I wouldn’t have stayed here. Keep this hotel in mind.

The location was ideal, across from the old bus terminal and a few blocks from the waterfront. Don Juan, a very nice bar, is just around the corner. It’s a simple, charming hotel with breakfast included, and the staff were very kind to us. We had a lovely stay and were very satisfied. Thank you!
