The staff were pleasant and professional, and the hotel has very nice rooms, a restaurant, and a full bar. It’s a wonderful boutique place at the top of town, looking out over the valley. Getting up the hill can be a challenge the first time. The road is steep, narrow, and rocky, though the other roads in the pueblo are much the same, and it’s doable. Given the local competition and surroundings, I recommend it.

We ate at the hotel, and both the food and wine were delicious. On the terrace, we met some very friendly locals and shared refreshing Salta beers. The room was basic but clean, and I absolutely loved the atmosphere. The only downside was waking in the night with an incredible headache, probably from the altitude. That’s not the hotel’s fault, of course, but be prepared: sleeping above 9,000 feet takes some adjustment.

Nothing fancy, but it’s very clean and quiet. The kitchen and food are amazing, and you have to try the meat empanadas!

Breakfast is a pretty good buffet for a small-town hotel, and the staff were efficient and great to deal with. Our room was clean, well prepared, and up to standard. We had a great two-day stay at this beautiful hotel with its amazing views over the village. There was safe parking for our motorcycles, and town is within walking distance. The short uphill stretch is good exercise. The TV in the room wasn’t great, but there was plenty to do without watching it. This is Iruya, not London, so the town doesn’t have reliable Wi-Fi. Bring cash to pay. The connection may not work for Visa or Mastercard payments for your stay.

The experience was wonderful, and the facilities were good. The hotel employees were very kind. Best hotel in Iruya by far! We’ll come back and recommend it.
