You can get a nice view from the upper floors, and it’s in the city center, but there’s a lot of unexpected noise from nearby cafes blasting stereo speakers. During holidays there’s plenty of activity and loud marching bands. The rooms and bathrooms are quite old, but usable, and the front staff speak little English. It’s a very basic hotel, with no free drinks in the lobby and not much seating to rest. Wi-Fi can be unreliable, and the breakfast was a really sad affair with few options. There isn’t much else to choose from around here.

Great central spot, right next to a lovely park, with plenty of shops and food nearby. There’s lots of foot traffic and police around, so I felt very safe. The breakfast was pleasant, and the restaurant opens a bit late for dinner, at 20:30, though so does everywhere else. Lots of tour buses come through this hotel. Nice place to stay.

The restaurant is the exception here, with very good basic meals and service. I’ve stayed at Naindo hotel many times for work, and it keeps getting worse. It needs a complete remodel, but hasn’t even had maintenance over the years. It’s the best hotel you’ll find downtown in La Rioja, but don’t take that to mean it’s good. There’s no competition, so plan ahead, you won’t find availability within a week. Customer care is non-existent. The carpets don’t seem to have been cleaned since the place was founded 50 years ago, so you shouldn’t go barefoot on them. Some rooms smell of mildew, and the bathroom fixtures are broken, rusty, or covered in tartar.

The front desk staff were very good, and the two restaurants were okay. Breakfast was mostly bread, though, and the beds felt old and uncomfortable. Just an average hotel in La Rioja.
