Yani was so kind, and her brother was a gem. I found the place by chance after other options were booked for the second half of February and Yani had a cancellation. I stayed with my children, and we loved how peaceful it was. The breakfast was excellent and had plenty of variety. A 11 out of 10! Best of luck!

Yani’s service was excellent, respectful and professional, and breakfast gets a 10 too! The cabin was clean and very well kept, though it would be nice to replace the mattress. The shower was amazing. Great location, covered parking that isn’t shaded, and handy barbecue grills. Could use a few trash cans.

The bill really soured the visit. We were charged 60,000 pesos for two pork shoulder sandwiches and two small cans of the owners’ homemade gin and tonic. Each sandwich was 20,000 pesos and each can 10,000. Maybe the sandwich price was reasonable, but the gin and tonics felt like a rip-off. We didn’t like having the bill slapped down right there, and we never expected to spend that much for a quick stop while passing through on our way to the river. We hadn’t spent that much on a meal in Villa General Belgrano. There was no menu, and the woman told us the options verbally. Since the place seemed simple, we made the mistake of not asking prices before ordering. The sandwiches were okay, made with toasted baguette, the cheapest kind, and a rather skimpy amount of barbecued pork shoulder. While eating, we noticed all the condiments they gave us were expired. We didn’t say anything out of politeness because the place looked modest and we thought it was acceptable. The toilet wasn’t working either, so I had to lift the lid and reach in to flush it. I don’t know if they charged us that way because they saw we were from Buenos Aires. At Lo de Acevedo, we paid the same amount for two elaborate dishes, a bottle of wine, and a tip, with spectacular service and excellent food. That’s a renowned place with history, in the historic center, in a house dating back to the 1700s. Before this, we liked the place and might have considered its cabins for a future stay. But we’ll never return or recommend it. They don’t care about tourism, and that’s a shame.

Yani was incredibly warm and lovely, and if I’m back in the area, this will be my first choice. We stayed for a few summer days in fully equipped cabins, with everything we needed. The location right by the river was fantastic, and breakfast was very good.

I stayed in the cabins a few days ago with my daughter, and neither of us wanted to leave. The place was clean, pleasant, and warm, and the home-cooked meals tasted just like home. We had conversations with Alan and Yani as if we’d known them forever. Their life story, and the story of the place, were beautiful. I’ll definitely return.
