You can wander, shop, and enjoy the peace here all year round. Mar de las Pampas is a beautiful spot by the South Atlantic in Buenos Aires, with the beach just a short walk away and trees and forest all around. It feels romantic and chic. Much of the architecture has a Patagonian look, with lots of stone and wood.

A great spot for enjoying nature, with the sea just beyond a dune. The rooms are spacious and clean, the location is excellent, and breakfast comes with homemade pastries. It felt like paradise. Thanks to the wonderful Altamar de las Pampas team.

Everyone was excellent and very friendly. The one thing I’d change is the mezzanine room layout. The stairs felt risky to use, especially since the bathroom is downstairs. I mentioned to the owner that a railing would help. Someone could fall if they got up while still sleepy, because the light leaves a shadow in that corner. The pool is also much smaller than it looks in the photo. Everything else was excellent.

The location worked especially well for us since we were traveling with a pregnant woman. It’s close to both the sea and the town center. The place is peaceful, family friendly, and surrounded by nature. We especially enjoyed the grill and had some great barbecues.
