Olivo de Bohemia

We had booked a studio at Olivo de Bohemia in Mar de las Pampas for January 11th to 18th, 2026, but stayed only a few hours. Opening the door, we were hit by a terrible damp smell. The ceiling and much of the walls were covered in mold. Several things were rusty, the electric oven and microwave were filthy inside and out, and the window beside the bed was broken with dirty glass. There were cobwebs in the ceiling corners. The bathroom was in poor condition, with traces from a previous guest on the bidet, and the outdoor grill was also not in good shape. We had already sent César, the owner, photos on WhatsApp, then showed him everything in person. He arrived about an hour later and offered to take us downtown while he cleaned. That work should have been done properly before our arrival. The damp was throughout the room, including the sheets, mattress, and pillows, and the property's overall state made us want to leave. We asked for our deposit back, half the week's total cost, but it was never refunded, either then or later. He made the refund conditional on us renting the place again. I advise avoiding this accommodation. César isn't qualified to provide decent facilities for guests and showed no concern for giving us the pleasant, deserved stay we expected. Rather than admit the mistake and acknowledge that a few hours of surface cleaning couldn't fix it, he kept the money and this negative review.

The natural surroundings make you feel connected to nature, and both stays at Olivo de Bohemia were excellent. On my first visit, the apartment was cute and comfortable. The second one was bigger and even nicer, and we enjoyed it as a family.

A lovely spot for families, with a roomy, spotless house and a beautiful location.

We were here in January, and everything was great. It's peaceful, just right for switching off and relaxing. The owner took excellent care of us. We'll be back soon.
