The owner was very friendly, and hot water and a refrigerator were available. The bathroom is the main thing that needs attention since the layout is cramped. It’s a simple hotel that’s being improved year by year, though it still needs renovation. The location is very good: close to Güemes (new center), Olavarría and Paseo Aldrey shopping mall, six blocks from the beach and 14 from the old town.

I went for a week with the 4k tour company from Rosario, Santa Fe, and the hotel was falling apart. The photos shown here are misleading because the rooms look completely different. Our room was damp and smelled awful, with dirty walls and floors. The bathroom was extremely uncomfortable: the toilet clogged three times, and both it and the sink leaked, leaving the floor flooded. They made a hole in the wall, letting dust and debris fall onto the bed, and didn’t clean it up. Towels were changed only if they were “very dirty,” and the same rule applied to the sheets.

The balconies were small, though fine for a short stay. I’d been told about that and accepted the comfort level, especially since the box-spring bed was excellent for resting. The owners and staff were attentive to our needs at all hours. Breakfast was very good and classic, and we wanted more. The croissants were excellent, and Marilyn, the waitress, and Marina at reception served them very well alongside the owners. I’m grateful for everything.

We were there for three nights. The TV and air conditioning worked fine, but they cut off the cable service, and our sheets weren’t changed. There was sand in the bathroom from previous days, marks on the mirror and no hot water. Breakfast was awful too, with croissants that were raw, soggy and strange. What they offer isn’t worth the high price for a one-star hotel.

The one good part was the reception team. They gave us excellent service and were wonderful the whole time. Everything else was disappointing: the room wasn’t the one we’d booked through Booking.com, and the bathroom was so tiny we had to shower over the toilet. The Wi-Fi never worked in the room, and the TV stopped working overnight. When we first turned down the bed, we found hairs and eyelashes on the sheets.
