Puerto Nómade Hostel Internacional

The blankets in the rooms were filthy and smelled like dog. It was disgusting. There's no lounge to relax in either, just the wooden dining tables and chairs, with no sofa. The place is beautiful and the location is great, but it doesn't feel ready to operate as a hostel. It was very dirty throughout, as if it had opened without being cleaned since last summer. None of the three bathrooms worked properly: one had a working toilet with no lid but a broken shower; another had a working toilet, but the shower and sink didn't work; and the third had a door that wouldn't close properly. The upstairs kitchen is tiny and short on cooking basics like pots, cutlery, and tea towels. I don't understand why they don't use the much bigger kitchen downstairs. Calling the breakfast was a joke: just coffee with milk, a croissant (and not always), and little bits of toast with jam. It was meager, and you had to wait because it wasn't ready at the stated times. I don't know how they let this hostel be used for accommodation.

The place is really peaceful, and the staff are super friendly. We went in the off-season, and breakfast wasn't included, despite what was stated. The rooms and bathrooms were a little dirty. The heaters work in winter, so you won't be cold.

My Saturday, September 16, 2023 reservation was canceled three weeks ago because of renovations and infrastructure problems. They said they'd refund me, but now they can't be found. They don't answer messages or calls and aren't on social media, so I don't know where else to reach them. I need this sorted urgently. They had already asked for nearly 90% of the reservation cost upfront, and I'm now five days from the booking with nobody taking responsibility. Completely unacceptable.

I stayed in June, during the winter off-season, and it was clean and comfortably heated, even in the bathroom. The beds were fine, and the bathroom was clean and nice. It's only a block from the beach. Highly recommended.
