The front office team's hospitality, especially Mr Daniel's, made my four nights here feel like home. I came from India, and they helped with everything from a clean room and water to booking taxis. The location is perfect, right in the city center. Thanks for all the help. I highly recommend this place for an affordable, homely stay.

We ended up at Nuevo Castillo Hotel late at night after nearly an hour of searching, with most places in downtown Mendoza already full. It was our first visit to the city, and this was a lucky find. The clerk was friendly, respectful, and very helpful. We overslept the next morning, but even though breakfast time had just passed, they still brought coffee, orange juice, and pastries for my wife, our three kids, and me. They also accepted US dollars, which no other hotel or place in Mendoza seemed to do, though I'm not sure why. This isn't a four or five star hotel, but it was clean, had the basic amenities, and was good for a night in a central, secure area at a good price. We stayed just one night, but I'd come back to Nuevo Castillo Hotel if I visit Mendoza again. I recommend it.

The staff were really kind to us, but the hotel itself is very basic. They also wanted us to pay extra VAT on top of the booking price, even though VAT was already included. Keep your expectations modest.
