Javier came through when we asked at the last minute for help arranging winery visits, and the plans he made for us were wonderful. He also suggested several great restaurants within walking distance. My wife and I had a lovely stay, and the hotel makes a perfect base for exploring Mendoza.

This was our second time staying here, and Javier arranged wine tours that set off right from the B&B. He’s built relationships with lots of local wineries, which makes the tours especially good. Breakfast is quaint and professional. Just a wonderful place, and Javier did a perfect job.

Mercedes, the homeowner, was welcoming and gave us helpful suggestions. Breakfast was good, and we could park on the street right in front of the house without any trouble. The location is excellent, right in central Mendoza and across from Plaza Italia. It’s an affordable, comfortable place in the heart of the city. We had a large room with five beds and two twin beds, but the bathroom was across the hall rather than inside the room. It was for our use alone, though I wish we’d known about its location before booking. Be sure to arrange your arrival time in advance. We waited 30-45 minutes for someone to let us in.

Mercedes, the owner, is a delightful woman in her eighties who grew up in the house. We even slept in her childhood room. She gave us a great guide to nearby restaurants and things to see and do, and the three or four places we tried were excellent. The B&B is central, with many good restaurants an easy walk away. They also arrange excellent private wine tours. Bring cash, and note that they accept US dollars only. Highly recommend.

We didn’t get to stay at the property, but Javier arranged and hosted an excellent wine tour for us, with a multi-course lunch that was just as good. We had a really interesting, pleasant conversation with him.
