Xumec Apart Hotel

For the price, it was decent value. The mattress was a good size, but there was a huge hole on one side, and the bathroom in room 204 had a bit of a smell because it had no ventilation. The rest was good.

The location was excellent, but the welcome wasn't friendly. Cleaning before we arrived was only mediocre, and when the apartment lock malfunctioned, they blamed us. At checkout they inspected the whole apartment very thoroughly, something I haven't encountered at other places I've stayed. It felt inconsiderate toward tourists.

I only booked because a friend had stayed here years ago. The room smelled like a sewer when we arrived. The manager poured deodorizer down the drains, which only covered it up, and said the previous guests from my country hadn't complained when I asked if this was normal. That evening the shower had no comfortable setting, just hot or scalding water. There was only one air conditioner in the hotel, and the towels felt like sandpaper. The next day we still couldn't find anyone to deal with the shower and water, so we decided to leave. Nobody was there, and after we called, the manager told us to leave the keys at reception. The place and service were terrible. I'm not especially demanding, but the price wasn't justified. I've paid the same for much better facilities and amenities, and there are much better options in Mendoza. I absolutely wouldn't recommend it.

The location is great, right in the city center, and the area is quiet. The apartment is comfortable, the beds are good, and the floors were spotless. But it badly needs maintenance. There's no air conditioning in the living room, the TV picture is distorted, and the safe is loose in the closet. The shower barely trickles. The sheets were clean but unironed, and the towels are ancient. The walls and doors look like they haven't been painted in years, and the windows and tracks have never been cleaned.
