The river and beach are easy to reach, which was such a treat, and the natural setting made it easy to switch off and enjoy ourselves. Maria and Pablo were warm, attentive hosts who made our stay wonderful. Our room for two was comfortable, with a fantastic mattress and a great shower. The shared kitchenette has a stovetop, refrigerator, grill, and discada for cooking. Maria also made a lovely breakfast with criollitos, croissants, homemade jam, cranberry juice, and coffee. We'd happily come back and recommend the place! 🙌

Blacky made us feel less homesick for our dog back in Buenos Aires. She came with us to the river, greeted us when we got back from exploring, and said hello in the mornings. We love you, Blacky! 🐶💛 Santa Mate was a lovely place to unwind after our excursions and treks, with very comfortable rooms. María and Pablo welcomed us like family. There’s a discada and a grill for making meals, plus a beautiful library. I especially liked the book "Birds of the Central Sierras of Argentina."

Maria and Pablo are so caring and attentive, and the rooms are really comfortable with everything you need. The greenery, birdsong, and quiet make the place beautiful, and you can get straight to the river. We’d recommend it 1000% and will be back!

There’s direct access to the river, and the whole place feels so peaceful. The cabins are cool, spotless, and very clean. You’ve got a fully equipped kitchenette, a fridge for your food, grills, and lounge chairs. Maria and Pablo make a delicious homemade breakfast, and there’s even Starlink Wi-Fi. The price is really affordable, and it’s a pleasure to come back. We love Santa Mate!

The walk down to the river is lovely and a great experience. The whole place is made for people who want to relax. Maria is kind, warm, and attentive, and she takes care of everything. The rooms are spotless and cleaned every day.
