Hotel Firenze

Spending time outside the hotel ended up being the best part of my stay. The room seemed frozen in time, in the worst way, and the poor cleanliness showed in details I’d rather not have noticed. The bathroom felt dated and had hard-to-ignore smells. Staff were indifferent throughout; every question seemed to bother them, even though helping guests is their job. Breakfast was limited, stale, and served without much care. An unforgettable stay for all the wrong reasons. I wouldn’t recommend it unless you want a lesson in what a hotel shouldn’t be.

The staff were very friendly, but the hotel needs some maintenance. Our room, number 18, had air conditioning, though they wouldn’t give us the remote because they only provide them in summer. We had some hot days, and opening the doors and windows didn’t cool the room enough. The pools and jacuzzis also weren’t usable early in the morning because the water was too hot. And the reviews about loud music from the bar next door are right, it’s impossible to get a good night’s sleep.

We’ve come back for a second visit, this time with the kids, and the heated pool was a real treat after walking on the beach. The location is great, right near the beach. The room is small, but manageable for a couple of family days. We’ll definitely be back!

I first came here when I was working with the wind turbines, and I’d choose this place a thousand times over. I got sick on my last day, and they wouldn’t let us leave the room until the doctor they’d called arrived and checked that we were okay. The facilities keep getting better each year, and the pool is so well heated you can stay in it late into the night. The owners’ service is excellent and the staff are outstanding. Gabriel, Martin, and his father pay such close attention to every guest. Congratulations to them.
