The owners and cleaning staff were so attentive, and the whole place was spotless. The cabins are spaced well apart, with an incredible view. There's plenty to do: a mountain-facing pool, solarium, jacuzzi, soccer and tennis courts, pool table, foosball, and breakfast with homemade bread. It had everything we needed and then some.

I stayed in the La Calandria cabin, and the condition of the place was really disappointing. The hot water barely worked, and there was mold in the bathrooms. The photos look 10-15 years old, with some showing things that are completely different now. It needs serious maintenance. They make it seem a bit luxurious because of the jacuzzi and other amenities, but the jacuzzi feels out of place in the room and has mold too. In reality, it struggles to cover the basics. For that price, I wouldn't recommend staying here.

The view was the best part of our stay between Christmas and New Year's. It feels like you're up in the mountains with the whole high peaks massif to yourself. The pool was lovely and clean, and the spacious grounds gave us plenty of peace and quiet. But at about $150 a night, the bed really wasn't acceptable. It was a twin, the mattress sagged badly in the middle and needs replacing, and I had neck pain and even headaches throughout the stay. The cabin itself was fine and equipped, though it could use more lighting. The multipurpose room and pool area need a lot of maintenance, and the heated pool was cold and not very inviting, with poor lighting too. We were allowed in early even though check-in was at 2 pm, and they didn't charge us for a minor bedside-table break my son caused. Still, without that mattress, my rating would have been better. The place just isn't worth what they charge.

The girls were so kind. We got there several hours late for personal reasons, and they waited up for us until almost midnight to welcome us. Breakfast was generous, though you have to book it a day ahead, which we didn't know at first. We came with our preteen kids and a baby, hoping to use the pool, but only the small one was open. Luckily it was hot, so we made the most of the river instead. The place was comfortable, though everything is far from everything else. It's ideal if you want to rest somewhere secluded, but being there with kids can get complicated.
