I had a fantastic time here and would love to return. When I arrived in town, I had no idea what my stay would be like, but the hostel made me feel great from the start. Tomás gave me tons of helpful tips for getting around, along with suggestions and information about local culture and history. Later, María Laura recommended places to visit, and I spent one of those days exploring a nearby town. They were both incredibly attentive and helped me with everything I needed around the hostel. 100% recommended in every way.

Tomas gave excellent service. The kitchen is fully equipped, the hot water is good, and the toilet flush works perfectly. There are armchairs, and the location is good. It would be nice to have breakfast, and the facilities could be improved.

Nothing fancy, but it has what you need for a few days, and it’s nice, good, and inexpensive. The staff are very helpful and happy to answer questions.

The price for the service is good, and this beautiful house could make a great hostel, but it needs a lot of thorough cleaning. There’s dust, cobwebs, pigeon droppings, and stains on the bedding. The windows shake so much you can’t see out. I understand that maintenance like painting and dealing with damp can be expensive, but cleaning shouldn’t cost that much. It’s a shame to see the place neglected.

I left the next day. I was there on Thursday, September 21, 2023, and unfortunately, the place wasn’t in a condition to receive guests. I’d booked a private room for three nights from Buenos Aires, 15 days ahead on WhatsApp, and paid 50%. I arrived an hour early, at 6 p.m., on check-in day, but nobody was there to greet me. There was no receptionist or manager, just eight construction workers staying there and a woman who kindly waited with me on the sidewalk for the half hour it took someone to arrive and let us in. I called and messaged the person who made my reservation to say I’d arrived and explain the situation. They replied that they’d expect me later. A woman then let me in and took my details. She said she wasn’t the manager, just an acquaintance of the owner doing a favor. I asked to see the room before deciding whether to stay. The room itself was tidy and clean, though there were holes in the walls and wires where a nightstand had once been. Elsewhere, both inside and out, months of cleaning seemed to have been missed: there were broken blinds, dried plants, and mattresses someone had clearly slept on in the dining area. With the time and my unfamiliarity with the city, I decided to stay. Around 9 p.m., after I’d settled in, the lock broke and I was locked out of my room with my phone and the rest of my things inside. The person I was told was the night shift manager couldn’t fix it and suggested I never lock the door again. In the end, I followed one of the construction workers’ advice to take off the handle and use it to open and close the door. The “manager?” went to sleep after speaking with the owner. He said I could leave the key inside when I left the next day since I didn’t like the place, and told me to talk to the owner, who might be able to find me another hostel.
