Ayres Village Apart

The pool was spotless and nicely heated, a real help on chilly days by the coast. The apartment itself was quiet, clean, and well looked after, just two blocks from the beach and three from downtown, so we got around without a car. Mariano, the owner, was attentive and always ready to help with our requests. There was privacy, but also a friendly, family feel among the guests. They welcomed pets too, and our pets could enjoy the lovely grounds with us. I'm heading home tomorrow feeling happy, and I'll definitely come back.

We were put on the top floor, up three flights of stairs that didn't look very stable or well maintained. Getting suitcases up and down was a struggle. The pool was green and filthy, with grime and awful mold visible at night, so we didn't use it. The receptionist was unfriendly, inattentive, and didn't deal with any of our requests. Supplies were ridiculous: no kitchen paper, one dish towel for four days, and just one hand towel for four guests. For what they charge, it's disgraceful. Breakfast was no better. The croissants were okay, but the toast was hard and stale, like it was from the day before.

We enjoyed a week in a well located place, and the photos matched what we found. Breakfast was included, cleaning could be requested each day, and both the owners and cleaning staff were very friendly. Still, I wouldn't stay here again. There were no quiet hours, and people kept gathering in the shared spaces connected to the apartments, with music and noise going until 2 or 3 in the morning. I saw teenagers partying and adult friends of guests barbecuing and shouting late into the night. Nobody seemed to manage the outside groups, and resting was the reason I came. The apartment Wi-Fi never worked, either, and the kitchen was badly equipped, with too few utensils, pots, and plates.

Breakfast could be brought to whichever spot we chose, whether that was the apartment, pool, or park. Everything was clean and comfortable, and the apartment was spotless. The staff were warm and paid attention to what we needed. I'd happily return. Thanks so much for being so kind!
