The place itself was fine, but I couldn't sleep because the air conditioner compressor hummed so loudly outside the wooden bedroom wall. It sounded like a ship's engine. The unit is new, but it's an old style, non-inverter model, and its unfortunate position makes the noise louder. It's nuts, and a real shame. I wouldn't recommend staying here for a night when the point is to get some sleep.

The owner is attentive, but checkout is a hard 10am even if you only checked in at 8pm the night before. She has zero tolerance for the checkout time, so be careful not to oversleep or you may be met by a very angry young woman. The house is basic, too: the kitchen isn't well equipped and the stove flame is so weak that I wouldn't count on cooking a proper meal. The shower runs on a small electric heater. It works, but I don't think it's a safe choice for guests.

Our casita slept three and had air conditioning, a private bathroom and shower, plus a small kitchen. There are restaurants, a grocery store and shops within walking distance, and it's two blocks from a main part of Iguazu. The hostess greeted us warmly and communicated really well. They'd just started taking credit cards, though that hadn't made it onto the website yet. Excellent value.

Merce gave us excellent attention, and the cabins were comfortable, well equipped and thoughtfully set up so we didn't lack for anything. Everything, including the grounds, was spotless. It's close to everything in Iguazu. I highly recommend it.
