I loved sitting on the porch, watching hummingbirds and the boats far off on the river. It’s a beautiful nature resort with friendly staff and a nice breakfast included. The taxi drivers don’t like the location because the roads down there are bad.
The quiet mornings, with birdsong all around, are what I’ll remember most. From our balcony we watched the sun set over Paraguay, and the resident animals were lovely to spend time with. My little wooden cabin in the Argentinian jungle exceeded what I expected. After two years of traveling often, I haven’t found a more welcoming place than Panambi lodge. If you visit Iguazu falls, do yourself a favor and stay here.
It’s a nice place, but getting around can be a problem if you don’t have your own transport. It’s far from the main connections, so you have to arrange rides through the owner, and the drivers he uses haven’t been reliable. They overcharge, too. One driver took my money and never came to pick me up. Be careful.
The cabin was just as pictured and in perfect condition, and breakfast came with plenty of varied food. We especially liked being surrounded by nature, away from the city noise, with views of the Paraná River. Juan was a great help, answering all our questions both before and during the trip, from bus stops and schedules to park admission and things to see. Excellent value for money. Highly recommend it.
Breakfast was generous and delicious, with different things each day. The rooms are lovely, and the jungle views make this a beautiful place to stay. The service was incredible, the owners are the best. It was honestly better than I expected. I’d give it 10 stars if I could. 😍
